I looked at my childhood home for the last time.
In the summer of 2007, my brother, sister and I moved my mom and dad from their home of many years to a retirement community. I took a week off to help with the move, thinking this was plenty of time. We worked hard every day from dawn to dusk: sorting, packing, driving and stacking. It was very difficult for my mom and dad to help, especially for my mom—she didn't want to move. On the last morning, before I left their house for the last time, I took a few minutes to make some photographs.
