Project Statement

Materials guide my process and intent. While trimming off the borders of large prints I noticed the thin curls of castoff paper as having their own energy and presence. They curled upon each other forming small loose bundles. When placed on light sensitive paper in the sun to make photograms, their alter egos transformed into glowing nuclei or luminous spheres of plasma.
